If you have all the necessary information ready when you start onboarding, getting set up could take as little as 15 minutes! Often Fillip customers need to pause and find a few other pieces of information about their business, so we often see this onboarding process take 2-3 business days.
When you sign up for Fillip, we ask for your contact details, registered business name, location, and business owner information. To comply with the Federal Government, we are required to complete a KYB (Know Your Business) and KYC (Know Your Customer) verification process, which our compliance team will complete using the information you provide. This is a legal requirement from FINTRAC and will protect you against fraudulent activities.
All information is kept strictly confidential. No credit checks or contracts are required.
Download the Fillip app, log in to your account with your mobile phone number, and follow the steps to add the Fillip Fleet card to your Google Pay or Apple wallet (all trademarks are the property of their respective owners). Select your preferred method of payment to fund your account. Then...head to the pump!
Several spend controls are available, including purchase limits and the number of transactions made per day, week, or month; what products can be purchased, such as fuel, parking, EV charging, and car washes; and required purchase information like odometer reading, vehicle unit number - and more! All controls can be set for an individual driver or at the fleet level.
We do not support cash withdrawals from the Fillip app or Fillip’s physical cards.

The Fillip app has a live map to show you the latest deal nearby based on your location - so you and your team don't have to drive out of your way to fuel up. You save money at the pump, kilometres on your vehicle and most importantly, time on the road.
Every driver gets their own card. Fillip puts a digital fleet card in the secure wallet of your driver’s phone (Apple or Google) and all they have to do is Tap to Pay at the pump and start fuelling. We have multiple payment options so you can fund your Fillip account in a way that works for your business. Choose between e-transfer, recurring direct deposit, or pay with your credit card.
You have the option to (1) set up direct deposit by connecting your business bank account to automatically debit funds on a frequency that works best for your team: daily, weekly, two-three times a week, or on an as-needed basis (2) e-transfer funds to your Fillip account or (3) add a credit card to charge funds when you and your team need them. A 2.4% charge will be applied when a credit card is used. Account funding can be done in the Fillip app. Head to Settings in the menu, then tap Funds and select the method you wish to use. You can update the funding method at any time.
Fillip's Regular Subscription is $5 per driver per month. You can use the Fillip digital fuel card at any gas station where Visa is accepted across Canada. There are also no extended network fees to worry about.
If your business would like to order physical cards, a one-time issuing fee of $10 per card will apply.
You can use your Fillip card to pay for as much or as little fuel as you need and set controls for your team to prevent fraud and misuse. Managers can set daily, weekly, or monthly limits for their drivers based on the unique demands of your business.
There are no contracts or commitments when you sign up for a Fillip Subscription. You can contact us to close your account at any time.
Yes! Digital wallets are safer than regular wallets. Digital wallets are encrypted, so all your transactions are safe from fraudulent activities. All information stored on your mobile device is heavily encrypted and requires authentication to unlock the device, adding an extra layer of protection.
Fillip provides an account statement, a transaction report, and a maintenance transaction log twice monthly. Fillip emails your account statement, transaction report, and maintenance transaction log to designated fleet report contacts; your accountant, office manager, fleet manager, operations manager or finance manager. You decide who gets which report.
Account statement - detailed statement of all debits and credits made to your account.
Transaction report - detailed report of all logged transactions for fuel purchases made within the last two weeks.
Maintenance transaction log - detailed transaction log for vehicle maintenance (non-fuel) purchases made within the last two weeks.
No! You can use the Fillip fleet card on any fuel for any vehicle in your business fleet.
